Beneath the subway tracks in Vienna’s 16th district, eight concrete pillars were transformed into a visual reminder of the city’s hidden wildlife. While Vienna is known as a green city, nature often disappears in dense urban spaces. Each pillar features a distinct composition inspired by local fauna such as herons, deer, foxes and insects. Bold colors and clear graphic forms bring light and presence into a concrete-dominated environment. The murals highlight the coexistence of urban life and nature.
